“We treat for the
right reasons, at the right time, and in the right environment."
This
philosophy is based on Dr. Iris Kohlmann's belief that orthodontics
changes more than tooth alignment. It enhances self esteem, it gives self confidence, and it makes one look and feel better.
Dr. Iris
Kohlmann is a board certified orthodontist. A board certified
orthodontist is a dentist who has completed an American Dental
Association accredited graduate program in the specialty of
orthodontics and went through a voluntary examination process of The
American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). Involvement in the
certification process is a demonstration of the orthodontist's
pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence.
Dr. Iris
completed her D.D.S. at Regensburg University
and practiced as a general dentist for 5 years before moving on to
University of the Pacific, San Francisco
to earn her master’s degree in orthodontics. She received the “Arthur
A. Dugoni Award for Clinical Excellence” and the “Sheldon Baumrind
Award for Research”. She served as vice president of the New Mexico
Society of Orthodontists in 2002.
Dr. Iris stays
abreast of the latest technological advances in her field through
active memberships in the American Dental Association, American
Association of Orthodontists, Southern Alameda Dental Society and the
Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.
